Location
Manipura (“city of jewels”) blazes at the solar plexus, just above the navel and behind the stomach, in the soft hollow between the ribcage and the lumbar spine. It is the body’s inner sun, radiating heat and power through the diaphragm’s dome.
Colour
Yellow – molten gold, sun-ripened wheat, the fierce clarity of noon. It ignites will, sharpens intellect, and burns away self-doubt.
Crystals
Citrine: merchant’s stone of liquid sunlight; attracts abundance and dissolves scarcity scripts.
Yellow Tiger’s Eye: hawk-eyed focus; grounds confidence without arrogance.
Pyrite: cubic fool’s gold; mirrors inner worth and deflects energy vampires.
Amber: ancient resin fire; transmutes shame into sovereign warmth.
Petals or Sub-vortices
Ten fiery petals, inscribed with the seed letters ḍaṁ, ḍhaṁ, ṇaṁ, taṁ, thaṁ, daṁ, dhaṁ, naṁ, paṁ, phaṁ. An inverted red triangle at the center contains the ram of Aries—raw, directional force.
Organs & Systems
Pancreas and adrenals (blood sugar, stress chemistry)
Stomach, liver, gallbladder (digestion and detoxification)
Diaphragm and mid-spine (breath power)
Muscles and metabolic fire
Eyesight (perception of light and detail)
Sense of sight (the eye of personal agency)
Psychology
Egoic mind and personal power – the crucible of identity, willpower, and self-esteem. When balanced, it manifests as:
Decisive action and healthy boundaries
Authentic confidence without domination
Mental clarity and disciplined focus
When deficient: timidity, victimhood, indigestion of life, low self-worth.
When excessive: control freak, workaholism, rage, bullying, burnout.Core Life Lesson“I act from inner authority, not outer approval.”
Life Lesson
The Solar Plexus teaches that true power is not taken—it is kindled. The lesson is to stand in the furnace of your own becoming, letting fear and shame burn away until only the diamond of self-respect remains. From this unshakeable core, every choice becomes an act of co-creation with the universe, not a plea for validation.
